Dr. Scott C. Kogler graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in 1979 with honors.  After graduating first in his class, he began his career in Gonzales, Louisiana in July 1979 where he continues to have a very successful general dental practice.

Dr. Kogler is a member of American Dental Association (ADA), Louisiana Dental Association (LDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and Louisiana Academy of General Dentistry (LAGD).  He obtained his Fellowship from AGD in 1999 and then his Mastership in 2005.

After hurricane Katrina, Dr. Kogler served as a volunteer Clinical Instructor for LSU School of Dentistry (LSUSD) at their clinic in Baton Rouge and presently continues to be an Associate Clinical Professor at LSUSD.  He is currently past president of the LAGD and serves on the board of directors.

The AGD awarded Dr. Kogler the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR) Award in 2010.  This is a very prestigious award in which only 150 AGD dentists have received to-date.

A  Cerec owner of 10 years, Dr. Kogler founded the Baton Rouge Cerec Study Club.  He has lectured on Cerec techniques to small groups of other Cerec owners and teaches a course to senior students at LSUSD. Cerec is a computer-assisted technique to design and fabricate crowns.

Dr. Kogler served as a member of the Board for the Community Clinic of Baton Rouge which served the working poor in a three-parish area.  He is a very active leader in the Louisiana Mission of Mercy Project (LaMOM) in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The LaMOM project provides two days of free dental work for the attendees.  In 2015, the Baton Rouge project did over a million dollars of free dental services.

He has also been an active member at Broadmoor United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge where he has served in several different areas over the years, including working with Habitat for Humanity.

Dr. Kogler has resided in Prairieville, Louisiana with his family for over 37 years.
